Product Overview

SQM series, also designated as RX27‑5, are square shape cement encapsulated wire‑wound power resistors produced by Guangdong Qingda Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. The resistive alloy wire is wound on a high-temperature ceramic core, housed inside a flame-retardant square ceramic shell and sealed with inorganic cement filler.
The RX27‑5 SQM cement resistor features compact square body design, outstanding heat dissipation, high dielectric strength, vibration resistance and moisture resistance. It is widely used as dummy load, discharge resistor, current limiting and shunt resistor in power supplies, audio devices, inverters, household appliances and industrial control equipment. All products comply with RoHS lead-free standards. OEM & ODM custom resistance values, markings and dimensions are supported.

Construction

Alloy resistance wire is wound onto a high heat resistant ceramic core. The winding assembly is placed into a rigid square ceramic case, then fully filled and sealed with thermostable inorganic cement compound. Tinned copper leads provide stable solderability for through-hole PCB assembly. Metal oxide film elements can replace wire winding for high resistance versions.
